Over the last decade, so much has been written about business transformation; how to do it, what it looks like and the measurable results that can be achieved for businesses brave enough to leap forward in new ways.

I believe true transformation is an inside job first. It begins with the person, then expands out to businesses and communities. That leads to bringing depth, honesty and transparency to conversations with employees, colleagues and customers that go beyond the numbers game. And by sincerely asking questions to better understand people, their challenges and circumstances. How can we transform this situation together? What solution would have the most positive impact and be sustainable? Where do we begin? What would it look like once achieved?

When consciousness in business is raised to new heights, innovations emerge to transform the status quo. Employees feel safe sharing ideas and are energized to achieve the best outcomes. Creativity thrives. Customers believe and trust again knowing you have their best interests in mind. Small wins over time add up to monumental changes. And leaders can look at themselves in the mirror knowing the integrity they know within is acted upon daily and shared with others. Truth, honesty and sincerity seep into the environment. And fear is replaced with purpose.
